Useless Keys residency at The Echo in February

USELESS KEYS formed out of the ashes of 3 Silverlake bands in June 2008.

Over 2009, USELESS KEYS have been recording with Sheldon Gomberg and Rick Parker on their upcoming debut EP. Buzz in Los Angeles and abroad has already steadily grown despite not having a proper release thanks to the band's auditory assault of a live show.

UK single "Down Threw" has been given heavy support by KROQ in LosAngeles. KROQ has sponsored 3 USELESS KEYS headlining shows at Spaceland and The Viper Room over the past few months. KROQ DJ Kat Corbett said USELESS KEYS music should "be in the next James Bond movie". A former SPIN editor called USELESS KEYS "a great space rock band"."

Everyone’s got useless keys. Nobody knows where they come from, but you don’t dare throw them away in case they turn out to be important. Much like the new L.A. band Useless Keys." LA WEEKLY

"The foursome’s debut EP, which will be out after the first of the year, is the stuff of late nights and distant horizons, taut and expansive and cinematic and not a little bit Floydian." Buzzbands.LA
