Here comes something you don’t see every day – a Christian rock band from Japan!

But IMARi ToNES is certainly not a joke, nor is this collection of giften Japanese musicians, led by Van Halen inspired guitarist Tak Nakamine, a novelty act.

Far from it. Because these boys from Yokohama sure know how to rock a party. Or indeed a church.

Being almost certainly the first band of its kind to come from the land of the rising sun, IMARi ToNES has its work cut out to win over a native audience unused to the subtleties of the Christian Rock sound. But they are making inroads both in their native land and the United States.

Word of mouth about this incendiary live act is spreading, backed by the power chords, smoking hot licks and uplifting vocals of Tak and his band.

And to back up the buzz, the band is releasing two new live albums – ‘IMARi ToNES in Glory Zone’ and ‘Dosamawari Live 2010’. Both showcase what makes this band the special, unique musical and spiritual force that it is. What’s more, both albums are free to download from the band’s website.

Formed in 2004, IMARi ToNES already has 10 albums under its belt, all self-penned and produced. But now the time has come for the band to break into the mainstream and carry its message of Christian love and powerful rock to the masses.

Inspired as much by Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Judas Priest as by their religion, the songs on these albums are nothing like the Christian music that most of America knows. And they’re all the better for it.

These albums will appeal to the believer who thinks that church can rock, while their raw musical power may even be enough to convert the non-believers in the band’s native Japan.

Music is always a powerful force. And in these two albums, IMARi ToNES show just how powerful that force can be.
