Barbara Morrison at Vertical Wine Bistro in Pasadena June 19

Vertical Wine Bistro, located on Raymond Avenue in Old Pasadena, is proud to announce a special appearance by legendary jazz and blues performer Barbara Morrison on Saturday, June 19, at 9 p.m. in conjunction with Pasadena’s annual free musical celebration Make Music Pasadena. Like the alleys, courtyards, and building lobbies throughout the city, Vertical’s lounge and bar area will be transformed into a musical stage and gathering place to enjoy the rich and vibrant tunes of Morrison, a 30-year veteran of the music industry who performs in many of the most renowned music festivals around the world and comes fresh from a recently completed 33 U.S. city tour.

To celebrate Morrison’s highly anticipated performance, Vertical invites music lovers throughout the Southland to dine, drink, and listen to this spirited night of jazz standards with a special prix-fixe menu and discounted classic cocktails. Throughout the evening, guests may enjoy a three-course menu featuring seasonal dishes created by Executive Chef Doug Weston for $34 per person, as well as cocktail “standards,” such as the Martini, the Manhattan, and the Old Fashioned, for $11. Small plates ideal for sharing among groups will also be available, including customizable cheese and charcuterie plates (three cheeses or meats for $15; five for $22; seven for $28), alongside wine pairings from Vertical’s knowledgeable staff, a wide assortment of specialty beers, and artisanal cocktails. The restaurant requests that guests reserve their tables ahead of time by calling Vertical Wine Bistro at 626.795.3999, with a minimum check of $35 per person.
