Dengue Fever to play in L.A.

Los Angeles-based Cambodian rock band Dengue Fever (www.myspace.com/denguefevermusic) announced today that they have confirmed two shows in the Los Angeles area this summer. They are:

Dengue Fever also previously announced an August 13, 2010 date at Californian Watercourt on August 13 as part of the Grand Performances celebration. More information here: http://www.grandperformances.org/

Later this summer, Dengue Fever confirmed two festivals in the U.K.: End of the Road Festival (http://www.endoftheroadfestival.com/) and Bestival (http://www.bestival.net/). More domestic and International live dates will to be confirmed shortly.

The band just returned from a whirlwind world tour, which included shows in Norway, Sweden, Germany, Turkey, Vietnam, China and Cambodia. The band is currently writing and recording new material for their next official release.

ABOUT DENGUE FEVER
Dengue Fever is Cambodian songstress Chhom Nimol, Zac Holtzman (guitar/vocals), Ethan Holtzman (keyboards), Senon Williams (bass), Paul Smith (drums) and David Ralicke (horns). The band’s music has been featured in a number of film and television shows including City of Ghosts, Must Love Dogs, Broken Flowers, True Blood and twice on Showtime’s hit series, Weeds. They have released three albums, Dengue Fever, Escape From Dragon House Venus On Earth and the DVD/CD soundtrack to the band’s documentary Sleepwalking Through The Mekong, in addition to a collection of lost Cambodian classics, Dengue Fever Presents: Electric Cambodia. They are based in Los Angeles.
