Ron Meza, former trumpeter for Tony Allen, fronts his 11-piece Afrobeat Jazz Big Band called "Planet Afrobeat." The band features some of LA's most renown world music and jazz musicians laying down a very unique brand of Afrobeat. The band features a red hot 5-piece horn sectionfloating on top of a jazzy & funky afrobeat groove. It's a daring mix of James Brown, the Brecker Brothers & Fela.
