Cruel Hand on tour

Cruel Hand will begin their Lock & Key headlining tour tomorrow, October 22, 2010. With Backtrack in tow, the crew will be heading across the United States (and Mexico!) to finish out October and head into November on their first headlining tour supporting their latest album, Lock & Key. This tour is a precursor for the Cruel Hand’s European dates with Sick of it All, D.R.I, Blood for Blood, and more on the Persistence Tour. "Taking cues from crossover acts like D.R.I. and Suicidal Tendencies as much as Hatebreed and Converge” (Metal Sucks), Cruel Hand has proven their ability to captivate an audience and as a staple band in the hardcore genre. Frequently referred to as one of the best bands in heavy music today, Cruel Hand’s Lock & Key has been praised as “the best thing that this band has created thus far” (AMP Magazine) and Alternative Press referred to the album as "...some seriously intense hardcore, mostly characterized by blistering speed and ferociously heavy breakdowns.”

Lock & Key was recorded in Wakefield, MA with producer Jay Maas (Verse, Bane, Defeater) and illustrates what Cruel Hand is capable of both lyrically and musically. Vocalist Chris Linkovich said, "Lock & Key is definitely not a 'Prying Eyes Part 2'. It's not just a progression either, we feel like this is our defining release. We weren't scared to bring all of our influences to the table, no matter what the genre of music."
