Hallenbeck's is an well known venue for acoustic Los Angeles Songwriters and performers - they have a small stage with a great sound system, great food and drinks, it is family friendly too, with free parking on the street.

We have four amazing performers who will be doing sets in two rounds - so nice you hear them all twice! And we'll have a short intermission in the middle for food, stretching, and conversation.

Dean Dobbins
Dean Dobbins was the leader of the 1990 California Country Music Association Band of the Year the Dean Dobbins Band and won CCMA awards for Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. Dean performs only as a soloist these days. He has recorded 8 CDs of original songs. His latest CD "She's Hot" contains 24 fully produced songs, most recorded in Nashville, featuring Teresa James on one ballad and many Nashville singers including Buddy Jewell. His songs are pitched by a publisher in Dallas, Texas.

Roz Esposito
Award-winning songwriter Roz Esposito has been a soloist and background singer for national jingles including ‘I Love New York’, which she sang with the late Luther Vandross. Her songs have been featured on national TV, on the Lifetime channel, in daytime drama and in off-Broadway productions. She currently performs both solo and with her band, The Feminine Principle, on the east and west coasts. Awards include The John Lennon Songwriting Contest and The International Unisong Contest.

Jimi Yamagishi
Jimi Yamagishi is the current director of SongNet and has been playing the radio for many years. He has been known to take the stage because he had a truck, but now prefers changing strings on his email. Jimi was never a popular guy until he played with Gilli Moon in Morro Bay, where he hid under covers & played so low. Married with children, he's not a Bundy but has friends who live there. You can find his humor & harmony @ & on

Jessie Sparks
Melbourne Australia born and based singer/songwriter/musician Jessie Sparks’ career has been in serious overdrive since the release of her critically acclaimed self-produced indie debut Breathe Easy. The album John Carver of PBS Radio called "seductive, intelligent and engrossing"--and whose raw power has earned comparisons of Sparks to everyone from Janis Joplin to Norah Jones--received two nods at the Hollywood Music Awards in 2008. Late that year Sparks traveled solo from downunder to attend the HMAs as a dual nominee for “Best Adult Contemporary Artist“ and “Best Female Vocalist”. The first annual event held at the world-famous Kodak Theatre was TV broadcasted live to more than 120 million homes across Europe and millions more globally online with Sparks taking out the “Best Adult Contemporary Artist” award.
