Fran Healy, lead singer and songwriter of multi-platinum selling Scottish rock band Travis, is very excited to release his debut solo album WRECKORDER, today October 5th on Ryko / Wreckord Label. Beginning November 10th in Los Angeles, CA, Healy will join The Killers’ front man Brandon Flowers for a two-week tour of the United States.
“WRECKORDER proves to be Healy’s most thoughtful work since Travis’ The Invisible Band” raves The Onion, while Filter Magazine praises Healy’s “effortless craftsmanship and wide range … that work to perfection.” Alternative Press goes on to say that WRECKORDER “gives Healy the chance to stretch his range with positive results. WRECKORDER is a worthy debut.” The London Times simply says Healy’s solo debut “returns the Scotsman to his best.”
Healy is currently donating part of the proceeds from his special edition package of WRECKORDER to the Save The Children organization. Actively involved with the organization, Healy has already made two trips to Sudan and launched one of the largest global campaigns to help more than ten million children.
