Brooklyn Rundfunk Orkestrata reinterprets "Sound of Music"

Soulful “Sound of Music” revivalists Brooklyn Rundfunk Orkestrata will showcase 'The Hills Are Alive,' a bold reinterpretation of the beloved Rodgers & Hammerstein musical (out March 8 on Canal Records), at Los Angeles' famed Hotel Café on Thursday, March 17.

Founded by Peter Kiesewalter, the mastermind behind the GRAMMY-nominated opera revisionists the East Village Opera Company, the rock/bebop/gospel/R&B-infused instrumental quartet has drawn praise from high-profile outlets, including the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, for their uncanny ability to put new spins on timeless classics like "Edelweiss," "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," and "No Way to Stop It."
