In just under a month Dengue Fever will be releasing Cannibal Courtship, their fourth album and first on Fantasy Records/Concord Music Group. They'll be playing a record release party at the Troubadour on April 19 to celebrate (and are holding a special “Golden Ticket” Sweepstakes for Record Store Day on April 16 with the release of the limited edition vinyl).
Cannibal Courtship is an evolution of sound for Dengue Fever, employing more spacey keyboard soundscapes, introducing the exotic and enticing Fender Jazzmaster/Chapei Dong Veng hybrid guitar dubbed the Mastadong, and with frontwoman Nimol singing more songs in English.
