Polynesian Festival in Long Beach Labor Day Weekend

Southern California’s only Hula and Chant Competition will make its way to the Long Beach Performing Arts Center/ Terrace Theater the weekend of September 2nd through 4th, 2011, for its 17th year. The E Hula Mau Polynesian Festival will take place at the Long Beach Terrace Theater Plaza and will feature live performances, arts and crafts, interactive workshops, and Island-style cuisine. This event is made possible by Na Mamo.

“He Waiwai Nui Ke Aloha" (Our Greatest Treasure is our Aloha) is this year’s E Hula Mau theme. Come and enjoy the blending of honored traditions and feeling of ‘Ohana (family) by attending the E Hula Mau event, Mahalo Bash Concert, and accompanying cultural festivities.

Special pre-sale pricing is available until May 31st through the Long Beach Performing Arts Center and E Hula Mau website (www.ehulamau.org). Pre-sale Hula Competition tickets are $18.00 and Mahalo Bash Concert tickets are $30.00. Pre-sale weekend ticket packages are also available for $76.00.

Tickets can be purchased on www.ticketmaster.com at normal pricing rates. The Long Beach Performing Arts Center Main Box Office is located at 300 E. Ocean Boulevard and is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday.
The cultural village is free to attend. Workshops may have an additional fee.
