From Friday, September 9 through Friday, September 30, Flintridge Bookstore and Coffeehouse displays a juried selection of poems reflecting on the events of 9-11-01. The entire community of La Canada is observing the anniversary of this tragedy with a service on Sunday, September 11, in Memorial Park.
The bookstore sent out a call for submissions to local poets’ groups and received a strong response. From those submitted, 25 will be posted on the walls of the bookstore, and awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be acknowledged.
Flintridge Bookstore and Coffeehouse is located at 1010 Foothill Blvd., La Canada Flintridge CA 91011, at the intersection of Foothill Blvd. and the Angeles Crest Highway.
