alt-J releases new video and on tour

Just last week, alt-J won the UK's prestigious Mercury Prize for their debut album An Awesome Wave.  "We are not really used to all this," says guitarist Joe Newman.  "We're bowled over beyond belief.  We are going to go and get really pissed.  Christ - we've just won a Mercury award." The annual music prize is awarded for the best album from the United Kingdom and Ireland with past winners including PJ Harvey, Portishead, Pulp, Arctic Monkeys, and The xx.

Don't take this great accolade as any sign of the band slowing down.  Today, alt-J have released the music video for "Fitzpleasure" from the band's debut albumout now via Canvasback.  This enthralling black and white video features several different street scenes involving a slew of obscure characters and situations.  From a street dancer with backwards arms to an old man with a face on each side of his head, it's difficult to take your eyes away from these artistic and bizarre settings.
