The Killers in SoCal May 1 and 2

The Killers will return to Southern California with two eagerly awaited area performances – first at Honda Center on May 1st followed by the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena on May 2nd.

Both area shows will go on sale Friday, February 15th at 10 AM.  Tickets will be available at www.ticketmaster.com

The Killers released their latest studio album, Battle Born, last fall with a much-anticipated American Express Unstaged webcast directed by acclaimed award-winning director Werner Herzog.  The group then took over the airwaves with multiple television appearances including The Late Show with David Letterman, Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Ellen.

Battle Born, named after the words emblazoned on the Nevada state flag, in addition to sharing its name with the band’s recording studio, is everything Killers fans have waited for since the band announced they would be taking a short hiatus at the start of 2010. Battle Born is simply The Killers doing what they do best and then some:  the choruses are grander, the guitars are heavier, the drums more powerful, the vocals more commanding – all sounding quintessentially Killers while sounding bigger and better than ever before.  It is an album that, like its namesake and the band that created it, does not back down from its own strengths. Battle Born has already spawned two modern rock hits in the leadoff single “Runaways” and its follow-up “Miss Atomic Bomb.”
