Gold Fields release album and to tour

Gold Fields’ debut album Black Sun is armed with pop hooks, tribal beats, danceable rhythms, and plenty of emotion. The result of relentless work and playful experimentation, the album is released TODAY via Astralwerks at iTunes and all digital and physical retailers! In addition to kicking off the MTV “Artist To Watch campaign this week, the band has received a nomination for an mtvU Woodie in the Breaking Woodie [Best Emerging Act] category. In celebration of the album’s release, fans can hear the full album streaming where it premiered at MTV as well as AOL Spinner.

Revered for their larger-than-life live show, the Australian quintet has played many sold out shows on the 1st leg of a national US tour and will kick off the 2nd leg this Spring supporting Capital Cities. The band will also bring their energized show to SXSW this year, including parties for FILTER, Waterloo Records, Aussie BBQ & more!

Fans that can’t make it out to a show will have two chances to experience the band live on their two national TV appearances. They will make their debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! performing ”Dark Again,” tomorrow (2/27) at 11:35/10:35pm Central on ABC. A special live performance will also air on Last Call With Carson Daly, March 28th at 1:35/12:35 Central on NBC. Be sure to catch Gold Fields LIVE on tour and stay tuned for more news + SXSW details!
