Yes concert to air live on AXS TV March 5

In a career first, iconic and Grammy Award-winning rock band YES--bassist CHRIS SQUIRE, guitarist STEVE HOWE, drummer ALAN WHITE, keyboardist GEOFF DOWNES and singer JON DAVISON--will perform three of their classic albums in their entirety, all in one concert, on a special tour in 2013: 1971’s THE YES ALBUM, 1972’sCLOSE TO THE EDGE and 1977’s GOING FOR THE ONE.  On Tuesday, March 5, YES’ San Francisco show will be broadcast live on national television on AXS TV beginning at 11pm Eastern / 8pm Pacific. This show is a must-see for all Yes fans! Visit www.axs.tv for more information; local listings can be found at www.axs.tv/subscribe.

The band will be further engaging fans and viewers via social media, launching a contest to give away audiophile CD copies of Close to the Edge.  Fans of the band simply visit: http://bit.ly/13iVlbn, follow @AXSTV on Twitter and post a tweet using #AXSYES to be entered to win.  @AXSTV will also communicate with viewers during the broadcast using on screen messages to encourage social interaction and entries to the contest.

The multi-platinum progressive rock band will kick off their North American tour March 1 and conclude April 12 in Detroit (tour itinerary below).  Music audiences will experience the albums, each representing an important milestone in YES’ career, performed from beginning to end. Chris Squire explained to Rollingstone.com (2/4) the band’s selection process on picking these three albums: “Over the years, Yes actually made 20 albums of original studio material. But we definitely wanted to focus on some of the landmark albums in Yes' career.  These three albums each have their own flavor, but they compliment each other so well.”
