For Boston quartet Lannen Fall, the key to success has only been discovered after heaps of hard work and dedication over a two-year period of time. In 2005, Jay Tagg (vocals, guitar), Ryan Mercedes (guitar, vocals), Dave "Horse" Horsman (bass, vocals), and Matt Wishnack (drums), came together to form Lannen Fall. From the very beginning, the band has strived to create a sound all their own, and has succeeded in doing so. Devoted fans have even led the band to win a highly coveted spot on t he 2007 Honda Civic Tour , opening for Fall Out Boy, The Academy Is..., Plus 44, and Cobra Starship.
Their dedication and love of touring has even led them to win the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands competition, earning them a slot on the Vans Warped Tour in Mansfield, Massachusetts, as well as winning a contest from Absolutepunk.net that allowed them to play a slot at the Saints & Sinners Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
Their debut EP Stories (Red Blue Records) which is available in select Hot Topic stores nationwide has garnered them close to 230,000 plays on myspace but the two new songs they've recorded with John Naclerio at Nada Studios this November have gotten them featured exclusively on Absolutepunk.net as well as on Purevolume.com.
"Dead Air" their latest song was filmed for a music video in December and is now available on virb.com. It can be viewed here http://www.virb.com/guymanlymovies/videos/33956.
Rob Hitt (Ex-Midtown, I Surrender) says "It's very rare that I hear a band and on first listen I just know the band is going to have an impact in our music scene. It'll be fun to watch these guys rise to the top."
With this do-it-yourself standpoint, Lannen Fall has no intentions of slowing their output. Enjoying each and every minute of it, they plan to continue touring and making honest music for the energetic crowds of hot, sweaty kids who sing their lungs out at each and every show. For them, success is not measured in monetary value, but in the impact that they have on their listeners.
