Luanne Hunt hits #1

I’m very happy the new year is underway - it’s starting off to be a greatone!
I have lots of news to share, as exciting things have been happening in mymusic career.

AMERICAN CLASSIC RECORDINGS SINGER/SONGWRITER LUANNE HUNT REACHES NO. 1 ON THE INDIE MUSIC FOLK CHART
Los Angeles - Luanne Hunt, an acclaimed indie folk and bluegrass artist, reached the No. 1 spot on the Indie Music Folk Charts (www.indiecharts.com ) the week of January 6 and continues to hold the position.
The Southern California resident’s recently released CD “Breaking Through” has been drawing attention from fans, critics and radio programmers worldwide. The project features eight original tunes, as well as covers of the 1772 hymn “There Is A Fountain Filled With Blood,” and the 1968 Simonand Garfunkle hit “Scarborough Fair.”
“Breaking Through” was produced by Eric Uglum (Alison Krauss, Ron Block, Cherryholmes, Nickel Creek, Sara Watkins and Ralph Stanley).

INDIE RECORDING ARTIST LUANNE HUNT INKS DEAL WITH CHRISTINA AGUILERA’S A&R FIRM, “BIG NOISE”
Los Angeles - Independent recording artist Luanne Hunt has signed a contract with the award-winning A&R/management company Big Noise. The independent firm specializes in artist development and music promotion & publicity. Its clients include include Christina Aguilera, Little Anthony & The Imperials, Patti Rothberg, actor/director Andrew McCarthy, andChicago.
Hunt, who currently holds the No. 1 spot on the Indie Music Folk Charts, released her sixth studio CD “Breaking Through” in November, 2007. The project was produced by Eric Uglum (Alison Krauss, Ron Block, Cherryholmes, Nickel Creek, Sara Watkins and Ralph Stanley). Additionally, Hunt recently produced her first music video, “The Miracle In You,” a track on “Breaking Through.” The video is featured on the American Music Channel (www.amercianmusicchannel.com ), where it reached No. 26 on the site’s Top 100 charts the week of December 16.
This Spring, Hunt is set to embark on a U.S. tour with her band, California Standard Time.
