Aggrolites on tour again

Fresh off the heals of a month-long nine country, 22-city European tour and a sold-out New Year's Eve bash at The Belly Up in San Diego, CA, The Aggrolites now gear up for their best year yet with more heavy touring, important opening slots, placement deals, new music videos and much more.

On TV & Film
Music supervisors and talent bookers took notice in 2007 as The Aggrolites had songs placed on several popular TV programs, including MTV's "The Hills" with “Free Time,” USA's "Dr. Steve-O" with “Time To Get Tough,” and NICK Jr.'s "Yo Gabba Gabba" with a version of the reggae classic “Banana.” Recently, they performed "Free Time" and "Faster Bullet" on Fuel TV's The Daily Habit. Aggro fans can look for their rendition of The Specials' "Ghost Town” in the upcoming teen comedy movie "Endless Bummer" out later this year. Next week, the quintet will headline the BMI Snowball at the Kimball Arts Center as part of this year’s Sundance Film Festival. This will be tied to a press junket that includes radio, TV and print interviews.

Joining Social D & 311
Last December, The Aggrolites awed fans as they opened for rock veterans Social Distortion in Anaheim and Phoenix. They now have the pleasure of kicking off Social D’s show at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco. They will then have the opportunity to present their unique styling to fans of 311 as they open for the reggae rockers at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas as well as in Salt Lake City and Flagstaff, AZ. "We had a great response at the last two Social D gigs and are amp’d to win more people over this year. We're honored that amazing bands such as 311 and Social D are giving us the opportunity to bring dirty reggae to their audience," says singer Jesse Wagner.

On The Road Again
Prior to embarking on a two-week southwest tour, The Aggrolites will join the likes of Gregory Isaacs and Alpha Blondy at the annual Ragga Muffins Festival in Long Beach. In mid March, they will make their debut appearance at the South By Southwest Music Conference. Other artists showcased will include R.E.M., The Black Crowes and My Morning Jacket. Stay tuned to www.sxsw.com for details. Opening for The Aggrolites on many of these southwest dates will be the U.K.’s punk/ska buzz band, Underground Heroes (www.myspace.com/undergroundheroes).

Home Pride
The long-awaited video for their title track “Reggae Hit L.A.” (Hellcat/Epitaph) is now available at www.myspace.com/theaggrolites. Directed by Jay Mack Arnette II, the video pays homage to the City of Angels music scene with cameo appearances by many familiar faces (members of The Aquabats, Hepcat, Death By Stereo plus pro BMX rider Rick Thorne, the Rad Girls from Fuse TV) and was filmed throughout various parts of the city. The video, dedicated to their late friend David “Bassie” Fuentes of Hepcat and Dubcat, has already created a frenzy on YouTube.com.

The Aggrolites are Jesse Wagner (vocals, lead guitar), Brian Dixon (rhythm guitar), Roger Rivas (organ), Korey Horn (drums) and Jeff Roffredo (bass).
