Leadership Pasadena to hold information sessions

LEADERSHIP PASADENA ANNOUNCES INFORMATION SESSIONS

Leadership Pasadena, the organization that combines leadership training with civic volunteerism, will conduct 10 information and orientation sessions for emerging community leaders interested in the 2008/2009 class, which will begin in September. All of the 45-minute meetings will take place in the Leadership Pasadena conference room at 75 S. Grand Ave.

Participants at the free events will learn more about the Leadership Pasadena program and meet graduates and board members. Refreshments will be served.

Graduates include corporate CEOS and managers, journalists, non-profit executives, neighborhood leaders, educators, government employees and more. As a result of their Leadership Pasadena experience, alumni work collectively to promote a stronger community. The common thread that binds participants is a commitment – personal, professional, economic and civic – to work toward achieving a model community.

Leadership Pasadena class sessions, all in the context of the Pasadena community over an eight-month period, include history, civic identity and the arts, local government, education, quality of life, business and economics, and personal development.
