KANSAS CELEBRATES 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF CLASSIC ALBUM ‘POINT OF KNOW RETURN’ WITH LIVE DATES THROUGHOUT 2007 AND 2008

April 3 at The Grove in Anaheim

Listen to any classic rock radio station for any period of time, and chances are one will definitely hear at least one song from the band KANSAS. KANSAS has penned and performed some of rock’s most recognizable songs such as the anthem “Carry On Wayward Son” and the ballad “Dust in the Wind.”

2007 will mark the 30-year anniversary of the release of their classic ‘Point of Know Return’ album, which spawned the aforementioned “Dust in the Wind." It was remastered by Sony with bonus tracks in 2002. The album, which was originally released in September of 1977, became KANSAS' highest-ever charting album, peaking at #4 on the Billboard charts. Additionally, the album achieved quite another accomplishment. It was KANSAS’ second quadruple platinum release in a row, as it followed up another mega-hit album, ‘Leftoverture’.

To commemorate this milestone, the group KANSAS – which consists of members Steve Walsh (vocals, keyboards), Rich Williams (guitar), David Ragsdale (violin, guitar), Billy Greer (bass, vocals), and Phil Ehart (drums) – has launched a new look to their official website HYPERLINK "http://www.kansasband.com/" "http://www.kansasband.com/" www.kansasband.com. It includes streaming song samples of all the tracks on ‘Point of Know Return.’

One of the leading rock bands of the ‘70s and 80's, KANSAS scored eight gold albums, three multi-platinum albums, one of which was ‘Point of Know Return,’ and a platinum live album. “Dust in the Wind” has sold a million copies as a single. KANSAS will be bringing their melodic yet progressive sound to concert stages throughout the U.S.
