Pasadena offers free Summer Youth Resource Guide

The long summer months bring with them the promise of new adventures, but where to begin?

The City of Pasadena’s free 2008 Summer Youth Resource Guide is available for parents, children and teens looking for summer activities that are fun, stimulating and supervised.

From classes and summer camps to sports programs and day trips, the guide lists more than 100 activities offered by libraries, universities, museums, parks, schools, community organizations and churches in the Pasadena area. Programs for children and teens with special needs are included as well.

The guide also lists family support agencies that offer health services, mentoring, counseling and more.

Compiled by the Pasadena Human Services and Recreation Department, the guide is available at Pasadena Central Library and all branches, community centers and the information booth at Pasadena City Hall.

To have a copy mailed to your home or for more information, e-mail vbabinski@cityofpasadena.net or call (626) 744-6937.
