Bach keyboard class and more offered at Pasadena Conservatory of Music

Bach: The Solo Keyboard Music will be offered by musicologist Priscilla Pawlicki at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music beginning September 9 at 10 AM. The 10-week course is an opportunity to study and understand the wealth of keyboard music created by "the greatest clavier player" of his time.

Pawlicki will also teach a class on 20th-century music on Wednesday at 7 PM. "Twentieth Century Masters" will explore how Schoenberg, Stravinsky, Bartok and Shostakovich changed the direction of Western music.

Both classes are designed to inform and be enjoyed by the general listener and musician alike.

Call 626-683-3355 for information and to register.

Instructor Priscilla Pawlicki is the recipient of the 2007 UCLA Extension Distinguished Teacher Award and chair of the Theory, History & Composition Department at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music. She is a veteran faculty member of UCLA Extension, where she teaches music history and theory.
