Emily runs with the freaks in Atlanta
TAKE A TRIP TO PLANET STRANGE AT DRAGON*CON 2008
For the first time ever, Emily the Strange will be represented at Dragon Con, the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the US. Amongst comic/sci-fi/convention aficionados, Dragon*Con is considered to be the penultimate event for costumes, freaks, geeks and weirdos, so Emily should fit right in.
Emily illustrator and EmilyStrange.com creator Buzz Parker will be attending the much anticipated labor day weekend event as a special guest. Besides holding court over a table in Artist Alley where he will be actively sketching, Parker will be signing autographs at the Dark Horse Comics booth #201 and will present a special lecture all about Mz. Strange herself.
Titled 'Planet Strange,' the presentation will focus on this cult character that has broken through to the mainstream with her message of "being true to yourself." Parker will also talk about his artistic influences, and hold a Q&A session.
