Armstrong Garden Center brings hospital patients poinsettias

On Monday, December 22 Armstrong Garden Center will add Christmas cheer to patients at Foothill Presbyterian Hospital and Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center by bringing them poinsettias. Armstrong Garden Centers will be donating nearly one thousand poinsettias to hospitals throughout Southern California.

"Being hospitalized is hard on families and their Christmas traditions often can't happen. We want to make the holidays a little brighter and keep a little Christmas nostalgia for these families with poinsettias." according to Monte Enright, Executive Vice President of Armstrong Garden Centers.

The poinsettia Christmas tradition started in California at the Paul Ecke Ranch in Encinitas over 85 years ago. Today Armstrong Growers , the wholesale growing division of Armstrong Garden Centers, keeps that tradition alive as the official grower for Paul Ecke poinsettias.

Armstrong Growers is known for high-quality poinsettias that "last and last and last". Not only are their poinsettias found at Armstrong Garden Center retail locations, they're also included in larger than life displays at the Bellagio and Wynn hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada and local Southern California theme parks.
