The SHIMMY SHOWCASE begins at 7 p.m. at the COFFEE HAVEN in Long Beach (1708 E. Broadway -- 562-437-3785).

December 7: Abraiha will be coordinating our next-to-last showcase for 2008, and we have two new troupes to dazzle you with their moves. Troupe Rakasaat and Troupe Joharaat will perform with their teacher, Akire.

December 14: In a fitting finale to a great Shimmyshowcase year, founder Alexiis once again brings you a Mid Winters Dream as we celebrate the many holidays and events of the month. Meryem Vani, Saahira, LA Tribal, Raks Behlam and Estra will also be there to delight you with creative, enchanting performances.

January 4: Happy New Year! Shimmyshowcase begins its 2009 season and Xandra celebrates her birthday with LIVE music by the popular Fernan Cobian ensemble. Delilah, Najma and Kamar will be performing on this festive evening and we have room for just one more dancer, so if you’re interested please contact us at shimmyshowcase@yahoogroups.com .

January 11: Savia is your coordinator for this evening and she welcomes first time Shimmyshowcase perfomer Masa to our magic carpet. We’d like to hear from other dancers who would like to perform, so please contact us at shimmyshowcase@yahoogroups.com if you want to perform at Coffee Haven.

January 18: Coordinator Alexiis is honored and delighted to bring back Desert Lotus Tribal to entertain you with their mesmerizing moves, so mark your calendars and be sure to come down to Coffee Haven this evening for a great show.

January 25: Another spectacular Shimmyshowcase is in store with Fernan Cobian and his band of drummers playing LIVE music with the ever popular JJ & the Habibis performing.

February 1: Coordinator Saviya is looking for dancers who’d like to perform, so if you’re interested, please contact us at shimmyshowcase@yahoogroups.com .

February 8: Goddesses Unleashed with Alexiis! This is bound to be one of the most sumptuous, sizzling and sultry events of the winter season. Ravenmoon and Jessica will help Alexiis in presenting Freya, Canece, Parveneh, Tracey Farmer, Daliah Deva, Cynthia, Ba" El, and Dangeruz. Do NOT miss this spectacular show! You will regret it!
