Dolly Parton on CMT's "Unplugged at Studio 330"

Live from CMT’s Nashville studio, Dolly Parton opens up about her career and performs some of her biggest hits when UNPLUGGED AT STUDIO 330 premieres exclusively on CMT.com on Tuesday, March 31. The acoustic set includes songs from her newest album, Backwoods Barbie, including the title single and a haunting performance of “Only Dreamin.’” In addition, Parton gives fans a new take on her smash hits “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You” and “9 to 5.”

In a candid interview, Parton explains her writing process and how she came up with “Only Dreamin,’” which she penned two years ago on her birthday. Homesick while in New York City, she began singing the sorrowful, Appalachian-tinged tune in the limo on the way to work on her musical 9 to 5. “It happens to be my favorite song on the whole album,” Parton says. She also reveals her greatest possession in the CMT.com special.

UNPLUGGED AT STUDIO 330 features established country stars and rising artists in a “stripped down” performance series filmed exclusively for CMT.com. Since its launch in 2005, the series has premiered over 100 episodes including recent performances by Jamey Johnson, Colbie Caillat, Jake Owen, Joey & Rory and Randy Houser.
