Rock Ridge Music is set to release LETHAL, the urban pop debut EP from singer Sariah on Tuesday, April 7th. Born in Brookline , Massachusetts , Sariah was raised in the same Boston streets that produced pop idols like New Edition, New Kids On The Block and JoJo.
LETHAL is brimming with sexy urban dance tracks and power pop ballads. On the sun-kissed reggae single “Hypnotic”, Sariah displays her seductive side. “This song is all about our power, as women, to put men in a trance by our movements. Whether walking down the street or dancing in a club, we send a tantalizing message of control,” asserts Sariah.
This impressive six-track EP (the iTunes version will have an exclusive bonus track) creates a vivid picture of her varying emotions both as a young woman and as an artist. Sariah explains: “ I. named the album ‘Lethal’ because I want listeners to fall under the spell of my music.” Other stand-out tracks on the EP include the club anthem “Let’s Bump Tonight” and the soul-stirring ballad, “Climb”.
LETHAL has been a labor of love for Sariah. In the beginning there were far more doubters than fans, most couldn’t believe the voice and dance moves were from this sweet young woman. Sariah elaborates, “I like shocking people who don’t expect to see me put on a show. Even with my name, people don’t know what to expect and I like breaking through preconceived notions.” It sounds like Sariah has everyone just where she wants them.
