After being under the radar for nearly seven years, original System Of A Down drummer and former Apex Theory vocalist Andy Khachaturian makes his first public appearance since 2003 in a Ryan’s Rock Show interview this week.
In 2002, The Apex Theory were touring consistently with bands such as Glassjaw and Alien Ant Farm, and had music videos in constant rotation on MTV2. Khachaturian and the band suddenly parted ways without any public explanation shortly after the release of their major label debut, “Topsy-Turvy”.
In the Ryan’s Rock Show video interview, Khachaturian reveals the cause of The Apex Theory’s demise. He discusses his four year stint as the original drummer for System Of A Down, in which he was forced to quit after suffering a severe hand injury. He also gives insight on his current projects Ontronik and Vokee.
