Pasadena Museum of History invites the public to a “show and tell” program on Sunday, April 11, at 2:00 pm that looks at family memorabilia, antiques and flea market finds in a new light. Please, Please – Don’t Throw That Out, will be held in the Avery Dennison Auditorium (150 S. Orange Grove), located just south of the Pasadena Museum of History parking lot.
The fun, fast-paced program takes a familiar “Antiques Road Show” format into a new direction. Our panel of experts, including both historians and antiques/collectibles connoisseurs, will evaluate objects not just with an eye to their collectible or resale values, but also on the basis of the stories they can tell to help us better understand the history of our families, our communities, and the experiences/lifestyles of earlier generations.
See what fascinating items have been rescued from attics and closets or the back of bureau drawers and what our panel of experts has to say about this “old stuff. If you have something you would like to share at the program, contact Brad Macneil at 626.577.1660, ext. 16 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tickets: Museum Members Free; Non-Members $5. Reservations suggested; please call 626.577.1660, ext 10. Free parking available in the Museum or Avery Dennison parking lots; entrances to both lots on Walnut St. For additional information, visit www.pasadenahistory.org.
