One Colorado Old Pasadena will host its bi-annual Art + Design Open Market on April 11, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. This one day event showcases over 100 local artists in the historic central Courtyardand pedestrian alleys, giving shoppers a unique and charming environmentto discover new works of art.
The Open Market provides a rare opportunity for the public to interact with emerging and established artists from Pasadena's leading cultural institutions: Pasadena City College and Art Center College of Design.
One hundred percent of the proceeds go directly to participating artists, thereby supporting individual careers and artistic expression.
The Open Market features live music provided by California College of Music and is presented in part by Pasadena Magazine and KPCC 89.3 FM. Since its launch in 2003, the Open Market has provided visibility for more than 600 artists and has served as a destination for thousands of art collectors and enthusiasts. Art for sale includes photography, fine art, paintings, illustrations, graphic design, ceramics, sculptures and more.
