Shimmy Showcase Sunday

The Shimmyshowcase coordinators Alexiis, Saviya, Abraiha, and Xandra thank all of you performers and guests who came to our 7th anniversary party last Sunday at I-Candy Coffee. Our little venue was bursting with talent as past and present Shimmyshowcase coordinators together with their special invited guest dancers danced an absolutely fabulous program! March 28 – Coordinator Alexiis welcomes guest dancers Ilana, Estra, Circe, and Bibi to twirl upon the Shimmyshowcase magic carpet. But wait—there’s more! Alexiis will be introducing her youth troupe, the Starlings, to make their Shimmyshowcase debut.

Everyone is invited to this cozy haven for a relaxing evening among friends. Select your favorite beverage, hot or cold, from an assortment of coffees, teas, smoothies or juice; add to that a tasty sandwich or pastry; and then seat yourself alongside our magic carpet to enjoy some really great dancing at NO cover charge! April 4—DARK ** Happy Easter!


April 11 - Saviya will be coordinating this special performance featuring LIVE MUSIC once again with an I-Candy favorite—the extraordinary musicians of Elan! We have the talented Kamar, Circe, and Annakiya lined up to perform to the music of Marguerite, Rico and possibly Maurice too. As anyone who has been to a Shimmyshowcase featuring Elan with dancers can attest, this is an experience which will enrich your mind as well as your senses. Why not come down to I-Candy for a wonderful, relaxing evening of great entertainment in a friendly environment!

April 18 - Alexiis has surprise Guest dancers lined up for a special Spring-themed Shimmyshowcase - Flora & Fauna

Since street parking around I-Candy Coffee is scarce, we recommend you try the perimeter of Bixby park located two blocks west of I-Candy Coffee at Broadway and Cherry. Please try to arrive before 7:00 PM (earlier if you’re a performer!) as we try not to start the show until everyone has settled with a tasty beverage.
