When ACE ENDERS decided to reinvigorate his project I Can Make a Mess Like Nobody's Business, he didn't do it for any other reason than to unleash the music he heard within his own head. The result THE WORLD WE KNOW which is officially released nationwide digitally today, March 23rd, not only kicked off the next chapter of his career, but apparently has kicked off the next chapter for his fans. Following him since his Early November and Ace Enders and a Million Different People days, they purchased the new album in droves a day early to the tune of 1,000 sales in a single day!
The World We Know is the first of a musical trilogy of sorts that Ace plans for release in 2010. Without the pressures of a label, his music has taken a much more personal and introspective route without losing any of his edge or top notch songwriting skills. From the atmospheric intro of the opening track "Sleep Means Sleeping", it's apparent that this is a different direction from Ace, layered and gentle but firm and evocative. Delivered in almost a whispered hush, it thrusts him in a different realm altogether.
The melodically chill-inducing "Old Man..........................." witnesses him in his trademark reflective pose, but this time from a different perspective as a father and a husband. The epically jangly "Stop Smoking Because It's Not Good For You" shows off his musically playful side while delivering an appropriately cautionary statement.
Currently on the road with Copeland, I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody’s Business will be on tour all year, including the full 2010 Vans Warped Tour this Summer! The World We Know, the first of three releases for 2010, hits online retailers today and signed copies will also be available on tour. The second record will be released immediately preceding Warped Tour and the third will be released in late fall.
