'The Muppet Christmas Carol' to be screened in Pasadena Dec. 17

Kermit the Frog, Ms.Piggy, Fozzie Bear and the hilarious Muppets are coming to the Playhouse District in the Crowned City! Join our favorite fuzzy friends for a screening of “The Muppet Christmas Carol” on Saturday, December 17, 10:30 am at Laemmle Playhouse 7 Theatres, 673 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena.

The free movie screening is part of the Playhouse District’s annual Merry Merry Movie event that features the free movie screening and holiday concert. The family-friendly event is free and all-ages are welcome.

Following the movie screening there will be a holiday concert by the St. Lucy’s Big Christmas Band at the Vroman’s courtyard. The St. Lucy’s Big Christmas Band is comprised of professional musicians, music teachers, and recording artists who come together once a year to play during the holiday season.

“The Playhouse District Association is anticipating a big crowd which will enjoy a movie, music and lots of merriment. There will be treats and a special guest appearance by Santa Claus,” says Playhouse District Association Executive Director, Erlinda Romo.

The 1992 comedy “The Muppet Christmas Carol” directed by Brian Henson. The Muppet characters make the Dickens classic holiday tale of Ebenezer Scrooge a wonderful delight for all to watch. In addition, local area children’s store Little Junebugs will be hosting a holiday craft table for children to enjoy making one-of-a kind treasures.

We hope that you will join us this holiday season at our 5th annual Merry Merry Movie.
