'Putnam County Spelling Bee" in Pasadena Dec. 2-11

Can you spell i-r-r-e-s-i-s-t-i-b-l-e? The kids of Theatre 360 can! It’s anyone’s bee, as students ages 8-17 from Pasadena, Monrovia, Altadena, South Pasadena, Los Angeles and beyond, vie for the spelling bee championship of a lifetime in the Tony Award winning show… The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee!

“S-p-e-l-l-i-n-g B-e-e” is a hilarious tale of overachievers’ angst chronicling the experience of adolescent outsiders during the annual “bee” where they learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. It’s a quirky yet charming cast of characters for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time. Broadway’s “bona-fide crowd pleaser” won two 2005 Tony Awards including Best Book of a Musical! With its enormously appealing cast of lovable misfits, nerds and neurotics, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” hilariously, tunefully, and perfectly captures the angst, exhilaration and heartache that makes growing up so painful AND so wonderful.

*Suitable for ages 11 and up, without parental guidance, due to mild language.
