Winfred E. Eye is a band that could play in a bar or intimate setting. The Oakland, California-based band mixes rock n' roll with country boogie, adding a crooning touch, and creating a style uniquely their own. With a current lineup of Aaron Calvert, Mikel Garmendia, Craig Adams, Rich Douthit, Larry Van Riggs, and Jeremy Goody, the band has been turning out original sounds with some semblance of this lineup for 13 years. The band's fifth full-length release, 'Today Was Another Day', packs 12 songs destined to be favorites to both old and new ears. The band invites you to take some time to listen to their new batch and lose yourself in their world – it's a world where roads are paved and potholed, where dreams do and don't come true, where beauty meets pain, appetites are insatiable, and love is both lost and found. As always, the jokes are piled high, and the riddles are easy.

Winfred E. Eye's previous release, 'Til I Prune', was called "a gem of rare and wonderful clarity" (Blurt), "a collection of songs that evoke sadness without reveling in it" (Prefix), and "the Bay Area’s answer to Tom Waits" (LA Weekly). The band is actively playing music in the Bay Area and has previously performed with the likes of Will Oldham, Smog, Modest Mouse, Jesse Sykes and The Sweet Hereafter, The Handsome Family, Black Heart Procession, Mia Doi Todd, and Quasi.
