Additional artists from the soundtrack will join Everclear, the rock band whose consistent hits have made them a college rock favorite for over a decade – and Jonny Lives!, the NYC buzz-band whose single, “Get Steady,” is the lead track on the Van Wilder soundtrack. Throughout November, Van Wilder soundtrack artists and Eleven Seven Music labelmates Art Alexakis (Everclear) and Jonny Dubowsky (Jonny Lives!) joined Van Wilder lead actor Kal Penn at college campuses and radio and tv stations across the country.
Atlanta’s 99X morning radio show reported, “Art and Jonny gave one of the best and most energetic performances I’ve ever heard on my morning show. I can’t believe they can rock this early in the morning!.”
“Jonny and Art both played live and there was a great response to both!” said Dee, the producer of the “The Lex & Terry Show” on KDGE in Dallas, TX, who recently invited both rockers onto his popular radio morning show.
The Van Wilder soundtrack, in stores now, kicks off with the Jonny Lives! single “Get Steady,” which is a blaring hallelujah to the weekend. It also includes never-before released tracks from Hanson and The Exies, as well as Buckcherry’s smash “Crazy Bitch.” The track listing includes: Everclear - "Hater"; Buckcherry - "Crazy Bitch"; The Exies - "Different Than You"; Jonny Lives! – “Get Steady” ; Hanson – “The Ugly Truth”; Marion Raven - "Heads Will Roll"; Punchline - "Green Light"; Brandtson - "Who Are You Now?"; The Starlight Mints - "Eyes of The Night"; The Lashes - "Pop Song"; The Alternate Routes - "Aftermath"; The Ordinary Boys - "Boys Will Be Boys"; Reuben - "A Kick In the Mouth"; The Skies of America - "Shine"; David Hopkins - "Amber & Green"; The Tossers - "Buckets of Beer"
