Viver Brasil Dance Co. presents “The Groove Divine,” A FREE
J.A.M. SESSION Event at the Ford Amphitheatre June 17 at 7 p.m.

Traditional Afro-Brazilian Dance Taught to All Ages & Skill Levels

What: An Afro-Brazilian dance movement workshop with live music hosted by Viver Brasil Dance Co., including a sneak peek at their upcoming Ford performance. Dancers move to the rhythms and forces of nature.

Founded in 1997, the award winning Viver Brasil Dance Company is firmly rooted in the traditional and contemporary forms and techniques of Salvador , Bahia , Brazil , whilst pushing the boundaries of how ancient sacred dances are transformed into contemporary theatrical productions. The company specializes in bringing to life the epic, tantalizing stories of the orixa (ohr-eesh-ah), African sacred energies or spirits that are the pulse of Afro-Brazilian culture, in addition to presenting ecstatic samba, contemporary Afro-Brazilian dance and carnival.
