Live Nation to present Joe Satriani

JOE SATRIANI

WITH SPECIAL GUEST MOUNTAIN

"Joe Satriani has a reputation as one of the rare guitar wizards whose appeal is not limited to twang-bar nerds." – Rolling Stone

Guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani performs at The Wiltern on Thursday, November 13th. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, July 12th at 10 AM. This show is part of a worldwide tour, taking him through Europe, South America, Canada, Australia and the US in support of his latest release Professor Satchafunkilus and the Musterion of Rock.

Joe Satriani is rated one of the top rock guitarists of all time. His first full-length solo album, Not of This Earth, was released in 1986 making him a household name in the rock guitar community. In 1987 Satriani released Surfing with the Alien earning him his first gold record and putting him at the top of guitar magazine polls for years to come.

Throughout the late 80’s and early 90’s Satriani released a string of albums including the self-titled Joe Satriani, Flying In A Blue Dream and The Extremist before starting the G3 guitar showcase with former student Stave Vai. G3 became a regular event with a revolving door of today’s top guitarists with Satriani being the constant. The year 2000 saw Satriani issue his most musically daring release to date, the electronic-based Engines of Creation which was nominated for a Grammy the following year.

Satriani’s new album, Professor Satchafunkilus and the Musterion of Rock, is his 12th studio album and hit Top 10 on the Top Independent Albums charts.
