4 Boys, Inc. released the debut album by Rock Daddy Rock entitled Silly Short Songs For Silly Short People. The title pays tribute to eighteen, 1-2 minute songs that celebrate the everyday life of kids and their silly, gross and wonderful behaviors.
Chris Bihuniak, the album's songwriter, musician and producer is a father of four boys and was inspired to write short songs because, "I noticed kids getting bored after a few minutes into a standard rock song," he says.
The average single is three-and-a-half minutes long. The reason "is likely derived from the original format of 78 rpm-speed phonograph records; at about 3 to 5 minutes per side, it's just long enough for the recording of a complete song," states Wikipedia.com.
"I simply removed solo sections and repetitive choruses, which still leaves the essence of a song," says Chris.
Combining a variety of styles ranging from Rock, Rap, Pop, Blues, Punk and Reggae, Rock Daddy Rock hopes to appeal to families with a variety of tastes, and keep them entertained and educated for more than one song.
Rock Daddy Rock adds life lessons into songs about diapers, dirt, boogers, burps, fighting, biting, messy rooms and more.
Saskia, a mother of three boys, said, "You sneak in a lot of educational elements in a very fun way" and sing about "behavioral issues without sounding moralistic."
A review on OutWithTheKids.com says, "Rock Daddy Rock wants to make you and your kids get up and dance and laugh at the simple silly stuff that every kid (and most adults who are honest!) find to be hilarious."
