Pet Health Alert: Sago Palm Poisonings on the Rise
Though palm trees evoke daydreams of the sandy seashore, the Sago palm plant is no day at the beach. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center has seen Sago palm poisonings increase by more than 200 percent since 2003-- and over half of the cases have proven fatal.

Federal Alert: Save America's Horses from Slaughter Overseas!
The newly introduced Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act (H.R. 6598) would prohibit the overseas export of horses if they are to be slaughtered for human consumption.
