Ember readying new effort for February release

Austin, Texas alternative rock band Ember is currently recording their first follow-up full length LP which is set to be released in February 2009. Tentatively titled “American Hero”, the 10 song album will consist of all brand new songs. This album will feature live hit favorites “American Hero”, “Father’s Anthem”, and “Suicide”. Under the direction of “Taz” (Cherry St., Spinning Chain) at Tropical Heat Studios in Austin, Texas, this album is sure to please loyal and brand new fans alike, as well as prove Ember‘s staying power as one of the biggest up-and-coming bands from the music capital.

In 2008 Ember rocked the world with the hit song “Blind”, from their latest E.P., “Under Pressure”, recorded under the direction of Grammy award winning producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, Deftones, Red Hot Chili Peppers) in Weed, California. The “Blind” music video, produced and directed by Ray L. Schlogel of Underground Planet in Austin, Texas has received monumental praise from the music community and from fans. The video can be seen on Vimeo and Youtube, as well as the Ember’s Myspace profile, myspace.com/emberaustin.

With all of the hard work that Ember has been putting in this past year, from relentless regional touring to a music video to countless hours of practice and promotional work, along with the release of the highly anticipated album “American Hero”, it looks as though the stage has been set for Ember to emerge as the biggest alternative rock band to ever come out of Austin.

“Great band, great show…you can expect a lot from these guys.” -Justin Furstenfeld (BLUE OCTOBER)
