Warner Bros. recording artist Blake Shelton has reached the top of the charts, R&R Singles and MediaBase Singles, with his heart-wrenching “She Wouldn’t Be Gone,” written by Cory Batten and Jennifer Adan. This is Shelton’s second consecutive #1 – the follow up to “Home” – and his fifth career #1 which includes “Austin,” “The Baby,” “Some Beach” and “Home. Collectively they held the #1 spot for fifteen weeks. “She Wouldn’t Be Gone” is the first single from Shelton’s most recent release Startin’ Fires and was also #1 on the MusicRow Singles chart the last two weeks of 2008.
Last week Shelton made an appearance on E! Networks “Chelsea Lately,” performed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” and superstar George Strait announced Shelton would be on his summer tour.
