The Aggrolites inked for Coachella and to tour with Flogging Molly

The Aggrolites will showcase their soul-infused reggae at the 2009 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.

"We're honored and so excited to play Coachella, especially on the same day as legends like Paul McCartney and Morrissey," said frontman Jesse Wagner. "The line-up is amazing! Booker T, Amy Winehouse, The Cure, Atmosphere, Paul Weller, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Henry Rollins, X, The Killers, Gaslight Anthem...the list goes on and on. We're more than happy to be part of this festival."

The Aggrolites make their debut at the festival, and will play on Friday, April 17 at Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA. Tickets are on sale now; visit www.coachella.com for details.

The Aggrolites continue to be well represented on film and TV. The Aggros-backed, Tim Armstrong and Skye Sweetnam duet, "Into Action," is featured in Dream Works Pictures' Hotel For Dogs. The NBC hit series Friday Night Lights recently featured "Free Time." The songs "Reggae Hit L.A.," "Countryman Fiddle," "Funky Fire," and "Time To Get Tough" are highlighted in season two of Rad Girls, which airs worldwide on MavTV, and "Lucky Streak" is featured in The Pursuit, a film featuring some of today's most popular surfers. It's the first surf film released on Blue-Ray high definition and is nominated for two Surfer Poll Video Awards.

Additional solo headline shows in February/March have been added to The Aggrolites 2009 tour schedule, following their direct support dates on Flogging Molly's Green 17 Tour. This includes a one-night-only return to Denver, CO - their first appearance after two sold out New Year's Eve shows with Flogging Molly. (See below for updated itinerary)

The Aggrolites have returned to the studio to craft their fourth full-length album and follow-up to the acclaimed Reggae Hit L.A. (Hellcat/Epitaph). Recorded at Kingsize Soundlabs in Los Angeles, the album is scheduled for release in May 2009.

THE AGGROLITES mix reggae with soul, funk and rock to create what they describe as "dirty reggae." They are Jesse Wagner (vocals, lead guitar), Roger Rivas (organ), Brian Dixon (rhythm guitar) and Jeff Roffredo (bass).

Over the course of their seven year career, they have shared the stage with Social Distortion, Madness, 311, Rancid, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, The Vandals, Gogol Bordello, The Skatalites, The Aquabats, Hepcat, Prince Buster and Derrick Morgan. The Aggrolites have performed at such notable events as Vans Warped Tour, SXSW, Bumbershoot, CMJ, Sundance Film Festival, Sunset Junction and Detour Music Festival. Their last album, Reggae Hit L.A. (Hellcat Records), was released in June 2007.
