SynchDub readying new album

Electronica has truly found its heart and soul with the discovery of the songwriting talents of SynchDub.

This Belgium-based artist, producer, musician and songwriter has spent five years making lovingly-crafted techno ballads, drawing on the rich vein of lovelorn electronic music that brought the sounds of Gary Numan, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk to the attention of the world.
SynchDub makes fresh, exciting and innovative music that nourishes the heart but does not neglect the body. It is abstract, minimalist funk at its very best.

And having produced two fine albums already, she is now ready to unleash her finest work yet – the ambient epic that is ‘Twilight Last Glance’.

It is an album for everyone who is fed up with mass-produced electronic music and wants a return to the DIY aesthetic and experimental flair that made the music so exciting in the first place.

‘Twilight Last Glance’ is an unashamedly avant-garde work. It is ambient music but it has a real message. It is as much about real experience – all the motions of love, loss, despair and anguish that characterise great music – as the greatest recordings of Marvin Gaye or Otis Redding.
SynchDub uses the medium of technology to convey these basic emotions in a modern, meaningful way. And ‘Twilight Last Glance’ is the very epitome of what it means to say that the machine can emote.

She has been a regular on the festival circuit both in Europe and South America for several years, as a semi-DJ and semi-live performer. Her experiences and zest for experimentation mean that she is constantly evolving her sound.

That is why no two SynchDub records will ever be the same. Having made an album – ‘Drone’ – which was aimed more towards the dancefloor, this record is an introverted affair. Maybe it is a sign of a mature artist to be able to demonstrate so many musical facets so quickly.

Whatever the explanation may be, if ‘Twilight Last Glance’ is a reflection of things to come, then SynchDub will soon be the name on every discerning music lover’s lips.

And with another album already in the offing, her new army of fans will not have long to wait.
