Young LA professionals invited to American Cancer Society gala May 12

The American Cancer Society Young Professionals of Los Angeles invites active young LA professionals to its inaugural gala event, A Grand Affair, at the four-star Redbury Hotel under the gaze of the historic Hollywood sign on May 12, 2012.

The evening offers busy young professionals from greater LA the chance to unwind with other upward-bound careerists enjoying the retro hotel’s signature cuisine, drink, a spectacular silent auction and live entertainment while supporting the American Cancer Society’s mission of eliminating cancer through research, education, advocacy and free patient services. Doors open to A Grand Affair at 8 pm and festivities will continue until 11pm.

The Redbury Hotel is located at 1717 Vine St., Los Angeles 90028 just north of Hollywood and Vine. Discounted tickets will be available February 12, 2012 for $125 per person. Tickets increase to $150 on April 1. For tickets and sponsorship information contact Adriana Sandoval at 310-348-0356 or asandoval@cancer.org.

The American Cancer Society combines an unyielding passion with nearly a century of experience to save lives and end suffering from cancer. As a global grassroots force of more than three million volunteers, we fight for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. We save lives by helping people stay well by preventing cancer or detecting it early; helping people get well by being there for them during and after a cancer diagnosis; by finding cures through investment in groundbreaking discovery; and by fighting back by rallying lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and by rallying communities worldwide to join the fight. As the nation’s largest non-governmental investor in cancer research, contributing more than $3.5 billion, we turn what we know about cancer into what we do. As a result, more than 11 million people in America who have had cancer and countless more who have avoided it will be celebrating birthdays this year.
