ArtLA.com launches student artist competition

For the first time ever an artist can win his or her own exhibition in a major West Coast Gallery! With over 45 years of combined art and marketing experience, ArtLA.com is proud to announce the 2012 International Student Artist Of The Year Competition. This contest is open to students of any age from anywhere in the world. The top three contestants with the highest number of votes for their entry will advance into the semi-finals on April 10, 2012. A panel of expert judges will then select the winner on April 17, 2012. Their decision will be based upon creativity, technical ability and originality.

The outstanding winning entry will receive exhibition of his or her works at the world famous Bergamot Station Arts Center in Santa Monica, California, $10,000 in cash, plus a host of other prizes including an Apple Macbook Pro, Adobe Creative Suite 5.5, an ArtLA.com Presidential Package Membership and a $500 Blick Art Materials Gift Certificate.

Plus, each entrant will receive a free, limited edition Art Business Guide, which provides valuable insight on how to establish an art career, how to set up a merchant account, how to pack, ship, and price artwork, and much more.

Participants must be currently enrolled in a licensed educational institution. This opportunity is open to all students, full or part-time. Entry forms and instructions are available at ArtLA.com.

ArtLA.com and its sponsors are very proud to be able to give artists this opportunity for exposure, the chance of a lifetime for one lucky winner, and to help promote art awareness with what promises to be one of the biggest art competitions yet.
