Neil Diamond to returns to the Greek in August

Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Hot August Night, rock and pop icon Neil Diamond returns to the legendary Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 11 and Thursday, August 16. A special ticket presale for American Express® cardmembers will begin this Wednesday, February 29 at 10:00 AM and the public ticket on-sale will start Monday, March 5 at 10:00 AM. Tickets will be available at The Greek Theatre box office, online at Ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets.



In the summer of 1971, Diamond played seven sold-out nights at the famed Greek Theatre in Los Angeles to a rapturous reception. The following August, he returned for ten more sold-out shows, an event forever captured on the multi-platinum Hot August Night, a double-record set that demonstrated once and for all Diamond’s growing status as a superstar concert sensation. The original Hot August Night recording from The Greek Theatre concerts was one of Neil Diamond’s most successful albums worldwide, living at the #1 spot on the charts for 29 weeks, is one of his more celebrated and acknowledged albums of his career and arguably one of the greatest live albums ever recorded.
