Jones Coffee Roasters in Pasadena opens art gallery

California painter and California Art Club mentor, Tony Peters will be showing in the new gallery space of Jones Coffee Roasters from March 23 to April 30. This is a great opportunity to see some of his early works in person for collectors of Tony’s paintings. All artists are featuring
original works for sale including Tony Peters, the up and coming painter Robin Mcgeough,
Josh Evans, and Ben Sanders. All artists are established in the Pasadena community and will be at the Art Night opening on April 19th.

Southwestern Art Magazine has called Tony Peters the “BEST IN THE WEST”. Tony Peters is an urban realist painter working in oils. He contemporizes the tradition of the American “Ashcan” artists such as Edward Hopper, George Bellows and Robert Henri: capturing the psychology of living in urban California. Tony has a love of Californian nostalgia, which comes through in his paintings like “Night Pantry” and “Palms on Wilshire” which are featured in the show. While attending Art Center College, Tony worked in the Mendenhall Gallery where he
met future art mentor Richard Bunkall who cemented Tony’s devotion to art and painting. Tony has shown at the Tirage Gallery, the K Nathan Gallery, and the Alcala Gallery and is regularly feature in Southwest Art and American Art Collector magazine. Tony Peters, and fellow artists were chosen to show out of 310 candidates, with the winning artists given the opportunity to show in the opening of the spacious art gallery of Jones. The dates for this show are March 22, 2012 through April 30, 2012 with an artist’s reception held on April 19, 2012 at 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM. There will be live music, wine and h'orderves. All are
