Gypsy Azal Carns releases new album

Gyspy AZAL Carns – Tickling your tango

Blues Revue states: “Gypsy Carns, A one-man wrecking crew who plays a “stompbox” tambourine / kick drum combination, harp, 12-string resonator guitar….this is hammering, powerful stuff, driven by Carns’ energy and rough-hewn vocals”. As a blues songwriter he co-penned a tune with Fred James and Mary Ann Brandon that garnered 2 GRAMMY nominations via Koko Taylor. His global ministry includes France, England, Italy, The Netherlands, China, Israel, Germany, Japan, and soon to share the stage in Brazil.

In 2008 Gypsy was voted “Christian Blues Artist of the Year” at the Momentum Awards in Brentwood, TN. Using the delta-blues musical format, Gypsy combines Messianic lyrics for a unique blend of authentic American music. His energy and commitment are evidenced through his powerful live performances. Look for his latest CD on TTM Records - Elijah Returns by Prophet AZAL.

But with his new single – ‘Tickle My Tango’ – Gypsy AZAL Carns has shown a different side to the world. Recorded at Fox Mountain studios in Brentwood, TN, he and producer Brad Vosburg have created a “piece of magic”.

‘Tickle My Tango’ is a reggae-influenced stomper, with Gypsy replacing his usually intense lyrics with a series of unconnected syllables, a universal language if you will, culminating in the impossibly catchy ‘Tickle My Tango’ chorus. The video features Gypsy’s wife Caroline, ballet teacher/dancer and some crafty effects by veteran videographer Jeremy Lee. This good time video will appeal to all ages.

Gypsy and Caroline will have another chance to touch their fans – old and new alike – headlining the “Brazil Gospel/Blues Festival “in Brasilia on July 7; featuring Roberto Aguas Band, Ari Frello Band and very special guest Loro Jones.

Meanwhile, catch the video ‘Tickle My Tango’ on YouTube and Brazil TV
